Master Business Administration: Specialization in Entrepreneurship

Welcome to the world of entrepreneuring!

The word ‘entrepreneur’ comes from the French word ‘entreprendre’, which means ‘to do something’, and was originally used in the Middle Ages to describe ‘a person who is active, who gets things done’. At VU University Amsterdam we employ a broad, nuanced and diversified approach to entrepreneurship. The traditional conception of an entrepreneur as the self-made man or woman who has spotted a gap in the market, started a business and turned it into a large and going concern is not the only possibility. In our programme we discern and include multiple ‘categories’ of entrepreneurship.
